Detailed Itinerary

Day 1: Pick up and transfer to Murchison Falls National Park

Upon arrival at Entebbe International Airport, our driver guide will be waiting for your pick up and brief you about the safari and then set off to Murchison Falls National Park. The journey takes about 5 to 6 hours’ drive and along the way, you will have a stopover at Ziwa Rhino Sanctuary for rhino trekking where after you will continue to Masindi town for en-route lunch. After lunch, proceed the journey to Murchison Falls National Park upon arrival, you will drive directly to the top of the falls where you will enjoy remarkable views of the waterfall, enjoy the water splashes, listen to the roars of the water, view some bird species, enjoy the beautiful scenery many others. After the top of the falls drive, connect to your booked lodge for dinner and an overnight stay.

Day 2: Morning game drive and afternoon boat cruise to the bottom of the falls

Morning game drive,

After an early tasty breakfast on the second day of the 4 Days Uganda Wildlife Safari in Murchison Falls National Park, you will meet up with your driver guide to embark on a morning game drive where you will be able to view most of the predators and best active time to watch various animal’s species. During the game drive you will be able to view animals such as bushbucks, buffaloes, elephants, giraffes, lions, leopards, waterbucks, Jacksons hartebeests, oribi, warthogs grazing in savannah plains with due, view predators like lions, leopards, hyenas looking for a morning hunt, view different bird species among others. After the game drive you will return to the lodge for lunch as above.

Afternoon Boat cruise to the bottom of the falls,

After lunch, you will meet up with your driver guide to head for an amazing boat cruise to the bottom of the falls. During the boat cruise, you will be able to enjoy rewarding views of the waterfall, take beautiful photos, and view aquatic animals like hippos and Nile crocodiles, other animals like elephants, buffaloes, warthogs, and antelopes which will be drinking water along the shores, aquatic birds to see include the grey-headed Kingfisher, Bee-eaters, Herons, cormorants, long-toed plover, African darter, veracious dove many others. After the boat cruise return to the lodge for an evening relaxation, dinner, and overnight as above.

Day 3: Nile Delta boat cruise and evening game drive

On the third day of the 4 Days Uganda Wildlife Safari in Murchison Falls National Park, you will have an early breakfast, and your driver guide will pick you up from the lodge to embark for an amazing Nile delta boat cruise which begins from Parra jetty landing site and stretches to the shores of Lake Albert. During the Nile Delta boat cruise, you will be able to enjoy excellent views of Murchison Falls, and a wide range of hippos and crocodiles in the water, other animals to explore include Uganda kobs, elephants, buffaloes, and waterbucks among others along the shores, water birds like the elusive shoebill stork, goliath heron, African jacana, pied and malachite kingfisher, African skimmer, papyrus gonolek, African fish eagle, saddle billed stork, view fishermen who will be catching fish on Lake Albert in dugout canoes and others.

 After the Nile Delta boat cruise, you will meet up with your driver guide and drive back to the lodge for lunch after you will either relax at the lodge or embark for an optional evening game drive where you will be able to view some of the animals that you might have missed the previous day. After the evening game drive, you will drive back to the lodge for dinner and overnight as above.

Day 4: Departure to Kampala

On the last day of the 4 Days Uganda Wildlife Safari in Murchison Falls National Park, you will enjoy a relaxed breakfast, check out of the lodge, and meet up with your driver guide to depart back to Kampala. On the way, you will have en-route lunch and then continue to Kampala. Arrive early evening and upon arrival, your driver guide will drop you off at any place of your advice.
