Kidepo Valley National Park is located in the northeastern Uganda region and is found in the rugged, semi-arid valleys between Uganda’s borders with South Sudan in the northwest. The park sits on an area covering about 1,442 square kilometers of the spectacular Narus Valley and was gazette as a national park in 1962. It hosts a wide range of animals with over 77 mammal species and also a stopping area for a bird checklist of over 476 species with the common Ostrich, secretary bird, northern carmine bee-eater, little green bee-eater, and Abyssinian scimitar bill among others.
Murchison Falls National Park is home rich in attractions, wildlife, and bird species, located in northwestern Uganda regions. It is approximately a 4 to 5-hour drive from Kampala to the main destination and it takes 3 hours from Kidepo National Park.
Detailed Itinerary
Day 1: Pick up and transfer to Gulu
Depending on your location on the first day of the 6 Days Uganda Wildlife Safari, you will be welcomed by our professional driver guide who will brief you about the safari and then start the journey to Kidepo Valley National Park. Along the way, you will have a stopover at Ziwa Rhino Sanctuary for rhino
tracking. After continuing the journey with en-route lunch. After lunch, you will proceed to Gulu for dinner and overnight stay.

Day 2: Transfer to Kidepo Valley National Park- afternoon game drive
Today, wake up have breakfast and your driver guide will pick you up from the hotel to continue the journey to Kidepo Valley National Park. Upon arrival in the park, you will check into the lodge for lunch where you will go for an evening game drive where you expect to a diversity of animals like elephants, buffaloes, giraffes, klipspringer, reedbucks, bushbucks, bat eared fox, jackals, lions, leopards, Uganda kobs among others. After the game drive, you will drive back to the lodge for dinner and an overnight stay.

Day 3: Morning game drive and Karamojong cultural tour
After an early breakfast, you will meet up with your driver guide to go for a morning game drive in Narus Valley where you will be able to spot animals such as buffaloes, elephants, and Uganda kobs among others which will be drinking water in the valley, view different various bird species like the ostrich, Karamojong apalis among others. After the game drive adventure, you will drive back to the lodge for lunch.
After lunch, you will go for an impressive cultural tour where you will be able to interact with the Karamojong people who live in the neighboring villages. During the cultural tour, you will be able to learn about their culture, tradition, and way of living, visit the Karamojong manyattas, enjoy their traditional songs, dances many more. After the cultural tour, you will drive back to the lodge for dinner and overnight.

Day 4: Transfer to Murchison Falls National Park
You will wake up and have breakfast, followed by a check out of the lodge and meet up with your driver guide to drive to Murchison Falls National Park. On the way, you will have an En-route lunch and enjoy great views of the countryside, landscape, beautiful scenery, and others. Upon arrival in the park, you will check in at the lodge for dinner and overnight.

Day 5: Morning game drive and afternoon boat cruise
You will have an early breakfast on the fifth day of the 6 Days Uganda Wildlife Safari your driver guide will pick you up from the lodge to go for a morning game drive where you will be able to explore a diversity of animals like Uganda kobs, warthogs, giraffes, elephants, bushbucks, lions, leopards, hyenas, Jackson’s hartebeest, view different bird species many more. After the game drive you will return to the lodge for lunch. After lunch, you will drive to the Paraa landing site for an impressive boat cruise to the bottom of the falls where you will be rewarded with spectacular views of animals such as elephants, buffaloes and antelopes which gather to drink water, hippos and crocodiles in the water, view variety of bird species like kingfishers, fish eagles, bee-eaters, hornbills among others. After the boat cruise, you will drive back to the lodge for dinner and overnight.

Day 6: Departure to Kampala
After an early breakfast on the last day of the safari, you will drive out of the park and start the journey back to Kampala with en-route lunch and proceed directly to Kampala. Upon arrival, you will be dropped off at your hotel or driven to Entebbe International Airport for your onward flight back home.
