8 Days Classic Uganda Wildlife and Gorillas Safari Tour
The 8 Days Classic Uganda Wildlife and Gorillas Safari Tour is an astonishing safari itinerary combined with Uganda wildlife and primates ‘’the great mountain gorillas’’ as well as a cultural tour. This trip takes you to Uganda’s famously visited national parks for wildlife and primates that is Queen Elizabeth National Park for wildlife adventure, Bwindi Impenetrable National Park for Gorilla trekking as well and Uganda’s smallest park –Lake Mburo National Park for game viewing. All the above-mentioned safari destinations are located in the southwestern and western Uganda region, same route.
Detailed Itinerary
Day 1: Transfer to Queen Elizabeth National Park-cultural tour
On day 1 of the 8 Days Classic Uganda Wildlife and Gorillas Safari Tour, you will have a delicious breakfast and start the journey to Queen Elizabeth National Park where you will arrive in time for lunch. Enjoy your lunch and unwind at your lodge. Later in the afternoon, you go for a cultural tour experience in the neighboring communities of the park. You will be able to interact with the local people and learn about their way of living, culture many more.
After the cultural tour, you will go for an evening game drive in the park where you will explore animals such as buffaloes, Uganda kobs, waterbucks, elephants, warthogs, and others. After the game drive, return to the lodge for dinner and overnight stay at Elephant Plains Lodge (luxury)/ Elephant Hub Lodge (midrange) /Queen Elizabeth Bush Camp – Budget

Day 2: Lion tracking/Morning game drive and afternoon boat cruise
On day 2 of the 8 Days Classic Uganda Wildlife and Gorillas Safari Tour, after breakfast, connect for a lion tracking experience where you will be guaranteed to find the lions. Afterward, go for a morning game drive in the Kasenyi plains where you will spot buckets of animals like lions, elephants, Uganda kobs, and leopards among other various antelopes. After the game drive, return to the lodge for lunch.
After lunch, you will go for a launch cruise where you will explore various water animals such as Hippos and crocodiles, as well as water bird species. Call it a day, return to the lodge for dinner and overnight as above.

Day 3: Transfer to Bwindi National Park
You will have breakfast, followed by check out of the lodge and meet up with your driver guide to drive you to Bwindi Impenetrable National Park. On the way, you will have an en-route lunch and a stopover in the Ishasha sector for a game drive with chances of viewing these unique tree-climbing lions if you are lucky as you connect to Bwindi impenetrable national park. Upon arrival, continue to your booked lodge for check-in, dinner, and overnight stay at Buhoma Community Camp for Budget /Buhoma Haven Lodge for mid-range/Buhoma Lodge for luxury.

Day 4: Gorilla trekking experience
After an early morning breakfast, you will drive to the park headquarters for a briefing about gorilla trekking rules. After briefing, embark into the forest led by the park ranger to allocate you to the assigned gorilla family. As you’re tracking through the forest, expect to view other species that call Bwindi Forest their home. The trekking experience can take 4-6 hours depending on the movements of the gorillas and on finding these creatures, you will be allowed to spend an hour with them.
Return to your starting point where you will meet your guide after receiving your rewarding trekking certificate. Drive back to the lodge. Dinner and overnight at the lodge as above
Day 5: Batwa cultural tour and transfer to Lake Bunyonyi
After an early breakfast, meet up with your driver guide to go for an amazing Batwa cultural tour where you will be able to interact with the Batwa pygmies, learn about their culture, and way of living, visit their homesteads, enjoy their exciting cultural performances many more.
After the community tour, you will return to the lodge for lunch where you will check out and start the journey to Lake Bunyonyi which is the second deepest lake in Africa. Arrive and check in the lodge for relaxation as you wait for dinner and an overnight stay at Arcadia Cottages-luxury or Bird Nest resort-midrange.
Day 6: Full day at Lake Bunyonyo
After breakfast, connect for a boat trip on the lake exploring some of the lake’s 29 beautiful islands found there, learning about the history as well as interacting with the locals around. Meals will be served at your lodge. Later afternoon, connect for a Batwa community experience and also learn about the indigenous people of Uganda. Drive back to the lodge for lunch.
After lunch, you can either spend the rest of the day at leisure or engage in optional activities near Lake Bunyonyi like Zip lining across the lake, High-rope challenge activities, nature walks, so you can do these if you wish to as optional activities. Dinner and overnight as above.

Day 7: Transfer to Lake Mburo National Park
Have a relaxed breakfast, followed by check out of the lodge and meet up with your guide to transfer to Lake Mburo National Park. You will pass via Kabale town, Ntungamo town, and upon arrival, you will check into the lodge and have lunch.
After lunch, you will go for a boat cruise on Lake Mburo which gives you a gainful view of animals such as buffaloes, warthogs, antelopes drinking water along the shores of the lake, hippos, and crocodiles in the water and water bird species many others. After the boat cruise, you will return to the lodge, have dinner, and overnight stay at Mihingo Lodge-luxury/ Arcadia Lodge-midrange.

Day 8: Morning game drive and departure to Kampala
On the last day of the safari, you will enjoy an early breakfast, check out of the lodge, and meet up with your guide to go for a game drive in the park. During the game drive you will be able to view various wildlife species such as zebras, warthogs, giant forest hogs, waterbucks, impala, giraffes many more. After the game drive you will drive out of the park and embark on the journey back to Kampala. You will have a stopover at the equator in Kayabwe for your en-route lunch, enjoy photo shoot, buy craft items, and then continue with the journey to Kampala. You will reach early evening and your driver guide will drop you off at any advised place or at the airport for your next flight. End of tour
