Detailed Itinerary

Day 1: Arrival in Kigali -Bwindi

Upon your arrival, you will be welcomed by our safari driver guide and gives you a short briefing about the safari. Drives you to your booked hotel in Kigali or drive to Bwindi Impenetrable National Park through border crossing to Uganda ‘’ Cyanika border’’.

Please we are advice the travelers to book a morning flight to Kigali as will have about 4 driving hours to access Bwindi. Arrive at the lodge, check in for dinner and overnight stay at Buhoma Lodge – Luxury, Four Gorilla Lodge – Mid-range, Buhoma Community Rest – Budget

Day 2: Gorilla Trekking –Buhoma sector

Wake up early in the morning have coffee tea and delicious snacks. You will leave the lodge with your packed lunch boxes. Then be driven to the park head quarter for briefing at 7am. After briefing, head into forest trails with help of the guide in search of mountain gorillas. During trekking, expect to see other species such as notable birds, small primates and animals like elephants among others. Once you find the gorillas, you will be allowed an hour to watch them but make sure you stand 7 meters away from them.

You can opt to do Batwa culture visit after you’re an amazing gorilla trekking. Return to the lodge for dinner and overnight stay as above.

Day 3: Second Gorilla Trekking –Ruhija sector

On this day, get ready for another gorilla trekking experience in the same park but in another gorilla sector ‘’ Ruhija gorilla sector’’. You will have breakfast before heading to the park head quarter for briefing about gorilla rules. After briefing, meet the park ranger to allocate you for your assigned gorilla sector. You will be accompanied by the skilled guide to lead you through the trekking trails in search for gorillas.  Once gorillas are located, you will be given one hour to spend with them as you learn about their behaviors, habits, feeding, playing as well as capturing videos. Then after drive back to the lodge for dinner and overnight stay as above.

Day 4: Return to Kigali

After early morning breakfast check out of the lodge and proceed to Kigali to be dropped to your hotel in Kigali / Kigali International airport for your flight departure.
