Detailed Itinerary
Day 1: Pick up and transfer to Lake Mburo National Park
Depending on your location in Kampala or Entebbe on your one-day safari, our safari driver guide will pick you up very early in the morning to start the journey to Lake Mburo National Park in western Uganda. The journey takes a 4 to 5-hour drive to the park and along the way, you will enjoy spectacular views of drums at Mpambire and have a brief stopover at the Equator in Kayabwe where you will take memorable photos, and buy souvenirs. Then, continue the journey to the park. Upon arrival, you will go for a game drive in the park where you will be amazed with great views of animals such as buffaloes, giraffes, zebras, elands, warthogs, waterbucks, impalas, topi, different bird species many others.
After the game drive, you will go enjoy lunch at the lodge and thereafter you will go for a thrilling boat cruise on Lake Mburo. During the boat cruise which takes about 2 hours you will enjoy incredible views of hippos and crocodiles in water, buffaloes, warthogs, and antelopes along the shores, view water birds such as cormorants, hornbills, bee-eaters, kingfishers, view fishermen fishing and others. After the boat cruise, you will drive out of the park and start the journey back to Kampala. Upon arrival, your driver’s guide will drop you off at any place of your choice.
