Detailed Itinerary
Day 1: Pick up in Kigali and transfer to Bwindi impenetrable national park
Depending on your location in Kigali on the first day of the 2 Days Uganda Gorilla Trekking from Kigali, you will be picked up by our safari driver guide who will brief you about the safari and then set off to Bwindi impenetrable national park a journey that lasts 4 to 5 hours. You will do a border crossing to enter Uganda via Katuna border. The way is filled with beautiful scenery landscape and rolling hills. Upon arrival in the park, you will check into the lodge for dinner and an overnight stay at Four Gorilla Lodge – Mid-range, Rushaga Community Camp – Budget
Day 2: Gorilla trekking in Bwindi impenetrable national park
You will wake up early have a heavy breakfast, carry packed lunch boxes from the lodge, and meet up with your driver guide to drive you to the park headquarters for a briefing. After the briefing, you will head into the forest to look out for your assigned mountain gorilla family. The experience can last about 30 minutes to 6 hours depending on where the gorillas are located because they like to move from one place to another in search of food.
As you trekking, you will be able to view another primate like chimpanzees, black and white monkey,L’hoest monkeys as well as various bird species. On finding the gorillas, you will be allowed one hour to stay with the mountain gorillas as you observe their amazing lifestyle, feeding, surviving in the forest, breakfast, grooming their young ones as well as enjoying photo taking as you enjoy your packed lunch boxes.
After, you will trek back to the meeting point to be rewarded a certificate for participating in gorilla trekking and then drive out of the park and depart to Kigali.
Upon arrival, you will be dropped off at your hotel in Kigali or at Kigali International Airport.
