14 Days Classic Uganda Safari

The 14 Days Classic Uganda Safari is a magical combined safari tour package that takes you through several attractive destinations on Uganda safari and be able to adventure in everlasting experience of Gorilla trekking, chimpanzee tracking, game drive, Lion tracking, boat cruise, visit the Batwa pygmies among others. Safari destinations to visit includes Bwindi Impenetrable National Park, Queen Elizabeth National Park, Kibale Forest National Park, Murchison Falls National Park, Lake Mburo National Park as well as visiting Lake Bunyonyi among others thus unbeaten safari package you can’t go regretting. This safari starts from Entebbe International Airport by a domestic flight ‘’Aero link’’ flies you designated Airstrip in the park below then be transferred by safari drive guide to your booked lodge and from drive back to your hotel /Entebbe Airstrip for your departure flight or to any advised place.

Detailed Itinerary

Day 1: Pick up by the Protea Hotel – 10:50 Am HR-

Pick up at Entebbe: Upon your arrival at Entebbe International Airport, you will be welcomed by a hotel representative – driver guides to drive you to protea hotel check-in, and have lunch. After lunch connect for the Boat cruise on Lake Victoria to have an equator experience and then drive back to the hotel. Have dinner and overnight stay at Protea Hotel

Day 2: Fly to Murchison Falls – 1:30 hour flight

Transfer to Murchison:  Wake up early and take your breakfast with delicious snacks served at the hotel. Then after, your driver at the hotel will drive you to Entebbe International Airport for your domestic flight to Murchison Falls National Park. Daily flights operated by Aero link Uganda depart to Pakuba Airstrip at 12:00hours and arrive at Pakuba Airstrip at 13:00hours

Upon arrival at Pakuba airstrip, you will meet up with our safari driver guide and transfer to your booked lodge (30-minute drive). Arrive check in and rest as you wait for the next day’s activity. Dinner and overnight stay at Pakuba safari Lodge –Mid range, Paraa Safari Lodge –Luxury

Day 3: Game drive and launch cruise – Murchison Falls

Early morning breakfast and then go for a game drive where you will spot various animal species like elephants, giraffes, lions, Uganda kobs among others. In the afternoon, you will go for a launch cruise on the park’s main tourist attraction the unique Murchison Falls as well as the River Nile with its streaming hippo and serried ranges of crocodile along the sandbanks, as well as large numbers of different species getting down to drink & bathe. Dinner and overnight as above

Day 4: Nile delta boat cruise and evening game drive

After an early breakfast, your driver guide will pick you up from the lodge to go for an interesting Nile delta boat cruise which starts from Parra jetty landing site and stretches to the shores of Lake Albert. During the Nile delta boat cruise you will be able to enjoy spectacular views of Murchison falls, large concentrations of hippos and crocodiles in water, other animals like Uganda kobs, elephants, buffaloes, waterbucks among others along the shores, water birds, view fishermen who will be catching fish on Lake Albert among others. After the Nile delta boat cruise you will meet up with your driver guide and transfer back to the lodge for lunch.

After lunch, you will go for an evening game drive where you will be able to view some of the animals that you might have missed the previous day. After the game drive, you will return to the lodge for dinner and overnight stay as above.

Day 5: Fly to Kibale Forest national park 

After breakfast, fly to Kibale national park. Its 1 hours flight to Kasese Airstrip. Depart to Kasese Airstrip to 13:15 hour and arrives at 14:15 hours. Upon your arrival you will meet up with  our safari driver guide and transfer to your booked lodge (1hour drive). Arrive check in and rest as you wait for the next day’s activity.

Day 6: Chimpanzee trekking and Bigodi swamp walk and community tour

Have early morning breakfast and go for briefing and start Chimpanzee trekking. Kibale Forest National Park is one of the best safari destinations in Africa for chimpanzee tracking. Kibale’s 795km2 National Park contains one of the most beautiful and with the most varying tracts of tropical forest in the whole of Uganda. This is place to a number of forest wildlife, most especially 13 species of primate coupled with chimpanzees.

After trekking and your lunch, visit the Bigodi swamp with lots of birds and primates and also do a community tour. Later evening drive to your booked lodge for dinner and overnight stay at lodge as above

Day 7: Transfer to Queen Elizabeth National Park-cultural tour ‘’1hour’’

You will have breakfast and transfer to Queen Elizabeth national park where you will arrive well in time for lunch. Enjoy your lunch and unwind at your lodge. Later in the afternoon you go for a cultural tour in the neighboring communities where you will be able to interact with the local people, learn about their way of living, culture among others.

After the cultural tour, you will go for an evening game drive in the park where you will see animals like buffaloes, Uganda kobs, waterbucks, elephants, warthogs among others. After the game drive, you will return to the lodge for dinner and overnight stay at Elephant plains Lodge (luxury)/ Elephant Hub Lodge (midrange)

Day 8: Lion tracking/Morning game drive and afternoon boat cruise

After breakfast, connect for a lion tracking experience where you will be guaranteed to find the lions. Thereafter, go for a morning game drive in the Kasenyi sector where you may spot various animals like the lions, elephants, Uganda kobs, leopards among others. After the game drive, return to the lodge for lunch.

After lunch, you will go for a launch cruise where you will spot various water animals like Hippos and crocodiles, the cruise will also enrich you with various water birds. Dinner and overnight as above.

Day 9: Fly to Bwindi national park

You will have breakfast, check out of the lodge and fly to Bwindi National Park at Kisoro Airstrip, meet up with your driver guide to transfer to your booked lodge for check-in, dinner and overnight, stay at Buhoma Haven Lodge for mid-range/Buhoma lodge for luxury

Day 10: Gorilla Habituation experience 

After an early morning breakfast, you will drive to the park headquarters for briefing and go for

gorilla trekking. Gorilla habituation experience is a full day activity where you will spend four hours with gorillas as you get to learn from their behaviors, feed, play, build their nest as well as capturing videos for your future remembrance. Return to your starting point where you will meet your guide after receiving your trekking certificate. Drive back to the lodge. Dinner and overnight at lodge as above

Day 11: Batwa cultural tour and transfer to Lake Bunyonyi

After an early breakfast, meet up with your driver guide to go for an exciting Batwa cultural tour where you will be able to interact with the Batwa, learn about their culture, way of living, visit their homesteads, enjoy their cultural performances among others.

After the community tour, you will drive back to the lodge for lunch where after you will check out and start the journey to Lake Bunyonyi which is the second deepest lake in Africa. Upon arrival you will check into the lodge for relaxation, dinner and overnight stay at Arcadia cottages-luxury or Bird nest resort-midrange.

Day 12: Full day at Lake Bunyonyo

After breakfast, connect for a boat trip on the lake exploring some of the lake’s 29 islands found there, learning about the history and interacting with the locals. Meals will be served at your lodge. Later afternoon, connect for a Batwa community experience and also learn about the indigenous people of Uganda. Return to the lodge for lunch.

After lunch you can either spend the rest of the day at leisure or engage in optional activities near Lake Bunyonyi such as Zip lining across the lake, High-rope challenge activities, nature walks, so you can do these if you wish to as optional activities. Dinner and overnight as above.

Day 13: Transfer to Lake Mburo national park “3hour drive’’

After an early breakfast, you will check out of the lodge and meet up with your guide to transfer to Lake Mburo national park. You will pass via Kabale town, Ntungamo town and upon arrival you will check into the lodge and have lunch.

After lunch you will go for a boat cruise on Lake Mburo which gives you an opportunity to view animals like buffaloes, warthogs, antelopes drinking water along the shores of the lake, hippos and crocodiles in water and water birds among others. After the boat cruise you will return to the lodge, have dinner and overnight stay at Mihingo lodge-luxury/ Arcadia lodge-midrange

Day 14: Morning game drive and departure to Kampala

On the last day of the safari, you will have an early breakfast, check out of the lodge and meet up with your guide to go for a game drive in the park. During the game drive you will be able to view various wildlife species including zebras, warthogs, giant forest hogs, waterbucks, impala, giraffes among others along the road and after the game drive you will drive out of the park and start the journey to Kampala. You will have a stopover at the equator in Kayabwe where you will have en-route lunch, take photos, buy craft items and then proceed with the journey to Kampala. You will reach early evening and your driver guide will drop you off at any place of convenience or at the airport for your next flight.
