Detailed Itinerary
Day 1: Pick up and transfer to Queen Elizabeth national park–afternoon boat cruise
Depending on your location in Kampala or Masaka on the first day of the 2 Days Chimpanzee Trekking in Queen Elizabeth National Park Safari, our experienced safari driver guide will pick you up from your hotel very early in the morning, brief you about the safari and then transfer to Queen Elizabeth national park. On the way, you will have an en-route lunch and enjoy impressive views of scenic landscapes, countryside, and so on.
Upon arrival, you will embark on an amazing boat cruise on Kazinga channel a water body that connects Lake Edward and Lake George where you will get a chance to take clear photos, cruise meters away from large herds of hippos and Nile crocodiles in the water, other animals to see; elephants, buffaloes, antelopes among others which will be drinking water along the banks, aquatic bird species, view fishermen on the lake shores preparing their fishing gears for night fishing many others. After the stunning boat ride, you will drive to the lodge for dinner and overnight.

Day 2: Chimpanzee trekking and departure to Kampala.
After an early breakfast on the last day of the 2 Days Chimpanzee Trekking in Queen Elizabeth National Park Safari, you will meet up with your driver guide to drive you to Kyambura Gorge for a chimpanzee trekking briefing about the rules to follow. After the briefing, you will start trekking in the forest in search of the chimpanzees which takes about 30 minutes to 4 hours depending on where they are located. When you find them in their natural habitat, you will be able to spend an hour having a chance to learn about their behaviors, watch them feed, breastfeed, enjoy picture taking, and record video moments.
After chimpanzee trekking, you will meet up with your driver guide and set off back to Kampala or Masaka with en-route lunch on the way. After lunch, you will proceed on the journey to Kampala. Arrive early evening and upon arrival, your driver guide will drop you off at any place of convenience.
