Our 1 Day Ngamba Chimpanzee Tour leads one to the comfortable boat cruise out on Lake Victoria for your dream to come true. A visit to this Chimpanzee Sanctuary offers a chance to view chimpanzee feeding. You will also be impressed to see monitor lizards, birds, and photographic opportunities.
This trip to Ngamba Chimpanzee Sanctuary is arranged for both half and full day tour and the time for the boat to leave is either ‘’9:00 am or 12:45 pm’’.
On arrival at the sanctuary, you will visit the Visitor’s Centre where you will be introduced to the project, its history, resident around and their plight.
On each of the two types of day visit, half day and full day, you will receive a personal orientation by a chimpanzee caregiver and view a feeding of the chimpanzees. Enjoy a full day of visitors viewing and feeding the chimpanzees from the visitors’ raised platform area along the edge of the sanctuary fence.
Therefore, we advise visitors planning to visit the sanctuary to book their trip in advance to avoid disappointment.
During your visit to the sanctuary; Chimpanzee viewing and feeding, shopping at the Island gift shop, birding, experiencing other wildlife encounters, visiting a neighboring fishing village, relaxing or sunbathing in the evening
Our 1 Day Ngamba Chimpanzee Tour involves feeding the chimps, which is a stunning opportunity for you to feed the chimpanzee from the platform. You will also have time to watch chimps as they gain your attention to receive food. ‘’This activity is subject to management exclusion and policies.
Enjoy fresh lunches well prepared on site, ranging from $10 to $15.
Note: Packed lunch boxes and drinks to the Island are prohibited. This is because it can be prompted by the difficulty of controlling litter associated with personal items.

Morning viewing happens between 9:00 and 1:00 pm

A speedboat is paid differently from a motorized canoe. It estimates about 45minutes from Entebbe to the Islands.

Motorized Canoe;
The boat ride takes 90 minutes from Entebbe to the Island. Rides are weather-dependent – at the sole discretion of Chimpanzee Trust Management.
