Detailed Itinerary for the 12 Days Safari to Tanzania, Kenya, and Uganda

Day 1-2: Uganda: Arrive in Entebbe, then transfer to Bwindi NP for Gorilla trekking

Arrive early morning at around 6:00 am ‘’Entebbe Airport’’ and our professional driver guide will be waiting to welcome you in Uganda, brief you about the safari, and then transfer you to Bwindi Impenetrable National Park ‘’8 to 9 hours by drive from Entebbe or Kampala. As you drive to Bwindi, you will be rewarded with spectacular views of beautiful countryside. Stop at the equator in Kayabwe to enjoy memorable photo shoots and visit the craft shops around. Continue to another stop in Mbarara town for a picnic lunch. After lunch, proceed to drive to the park. Upon arrival, you will connect to the lodge for refreshment.

Second day, head out for a short briefing about gorilla trekking rules and expectations. After the briefing, start the gorilla trekking experience with the help of the ranger. You will walk into forest trails to search for the mountain gorillas’ family. The trek can take 1 hour to 7 hours, depending on their location.

On finding them, you will be allowed an hour to spend with gorillas, learning about their behavior, habits, play, building their nest on the ground, as well as capturing the video. Back to the lodge, dinner, and an overnight.

Day 3: Transfer from Bwindi to Nairobi, Kenya

Enjoy an early morning breakfast, then transfer back to Entebbe Airport to fly to Kenya for your next leg of the safari. Upon arrival, you will be transferred to the Maasai Mara National Reserve. Arriving in the evening, connect to your booked camp or lodge, have dinner, and overnight.

Day 4-5: Kenya: Explore Maasai Mara National Reserve with a full day of game drives

You will spend two days in Maasai Mara National Reserve – a full day game drive where you will explore a large population of wildlife such as the ‘’Big Five’’ and other animals like cheetah, Giraffe, hippo, and Zebra, as well as bird life.

Visit the Maasai village to enjoy their unique traditions and lifestyle.

Day 6: Kenya/Tanzania: Cross the border from Kenya to Tanzania – Transfer to Serengeti NP

On this day, you will cross the border from Kenya to Tanzania to transfer to Serengeti National Park. Serengeti National Park is famously known as a great stopping location to go for the annual Great Wildebeest Migration, a massive annual event where over 1.5 million wildebeest, zebra, and hundreds of thousands of gazelles migrate across the plains in search of fresh grazing land. Also stands as home to the African Big Five: lion, leopard, elephant, buffalo, and rhinoceros, a large lion population, and a high number of predators like cheetahs and hyenas.

Day 7-8: Tanzania: Head on full-day game drives in the Serengeti – Known for the Great Migration

Wake up early to experience a full day of game drives to witness the full cycle of the Great Migration. The herds return to graze in December with the onset of the green season, followed by the birth of the calves from the month of January and February.

Day 9: Tanzania: Descend into the Ngorongoro Crater,

After breakfast, you will transfer to Ngorongoro Crater, home UNESCO World Heritage site, for exceptional wildlife viewing.

Day 10: Tanzania: Visit Lake Manyara National Park – Famous for its tree-climbing lions

Travel to Lake Manyara National Park and upon arrival, go canoeing where you will paddle on the lake to see aquatic wildlife and enjoy panoramic views, including large groups of flamingos.

Take a guided hike through the dense groundwater forests to spot animals like monkeys and bushbucks. Dinner and overnight.

Day 11: Tanzania: Explore another park like Tarangire NP

You will take game drives to explore the park’s diverse habitats and see animals like large elephant herds, zebras, wildebeest, especially during the dry season can be seen gathering near the Tarangire River.

Take a chance to experience a night game drive where you will watch the nocturnal animal-like bushbabies, porcupines, among predators.

Day 12: Depart from Kilimanjaro International Airport or return to Nairobi for departure

On your final day of the safari, after breakfast, followed by check out and depart back to Nairobi for your departure flight or next destination.
