Detailed Itinerary

Day 1: Pick up and Transfer to Nyungwe National Park – Canopy Walk Adventure

Depending on your agreed location in Kigali, our safari driver guide will pick you up, brief you about safari as he drives you to the park.  Nyungwe National Park is known as a home for unique chimpanzees. The driving journey takes you through the beautiful terraced hillside that characterizes much of Rwanda’s landscapes, viewing Kamegeri Rock in Ruhango district. On arrival at the park, you will continue with the canopy walk adventure for an exciting experience of a suspended bridge covering 160 meters through the lush montane rainforest and 70 meters high from the forest floor. Canopy walk is truly extraordinary activity that offers amazing view of the ancient forest. After, drive back to connect to the hotel, check in at your booked lodge and spend your evening at leisure, dinner and overnight.

Day 2: Chimpanzee Trekking / Transfer Back to Kigali

On your last day of 2 days Rwanda tour, you will have an early breakfast at your hotel before heading on an unforgettable chimpanzee tracking. The Rwanda chimpanzee population ranges between 500 and 600 individuals.  The trekking takes about an hour under the guidance of park ranger who knows the trekking trails of these great apes. As your searching for them, you may have chances of spotting migratory birdlife, including the Ross Turaco, Grey –cheeked hornbill, red-breasted sparrow hawk, ragal sunbirds, among others.

After a great experience with these unique apes, you will check out and drive back to Kigali with a stopover at Nyanza king’s Palace Museum on the way for a cultural experience. You will continue to drive to Kigali. Upon arrival, you will be dropped off at your hotel in Kigali or at Kigali International Airport for your onward flight back home.
