Detailed Itinerary
Day 1: Pick up and Transfer to Ngunywe National Park
Early morning transfer from Kigali or another location to Nyungwe National Park. The drive is rewarding, passing through rolling hills and tea plantations. Arrive at the park in the afternoon, have a short briefing, and potentially head on a Colobus monkey trek or opt to engage in a canopy walk. Dinner and an overnight.

Day 2: Chimpanzee Trekking /Depart
Wake up early, have breakfast, and be driven to the park for the briefing about chimps’ rules and regulations. After the briefing, you will be allocated to where the chimps were last seen the previous day by the expert ranger. The trek takes around 5 hours, depending on their movements. On finding them, you will be given an hour to observe the chimpanzee in their natural habitat.
After the trek, drive back to Kigali or your next destination.
