It is also considered the best birding site in Rwanda with over 320 bird species and 29 species are unique to the montane forest environment of the Albertine Rift, with an en-route lunch. Detailed Itinerary

Day 1: Pick up and Transfer to Nyungwe Park

Have an early breakfast at the hotel, then our company representative driver guide will be waiting to meet with you, brief you about the safari and then set off the journey to Nyungwe National Park. The park sits in southwest Rwanda and is the largest expanse of montane forest in East or Central Africa. It is also known for its beautiful flora, including over 250 species of trees and 13 varieties of primates. On your way, you will have a stop to visit the Royal Palace Museum and Ethnographic Museum in the Southern province; you will get excited about the great history of traditional ways of living among Rwandans and their past way of leaders of Kingship with lunch en route. Dinner and overnight stay.

Day 2: Chimpanzee Tracking /Depart to Kigali

You will start with an amazing chimpanzee trekking adventure in Nyungwe’s lush rainforest. After a hot breakfast, drive to the forest’s edge where chimpanzee trekking in Nyungwe.  Ngungwe is known as one of the oldest rainforests in Africa and a home to a thriving population of chimpanzees ‘’one of the most famous great apes in Africa.

Chimpanzees are highly intelligent and social primates, sharing 99% of our DNA. The park offers a guided chimpanzee tracking experience with one hour allowed to observe their behaviors, feed, survive in the forest, play as well as enjoy memorable photography.
