3 Days Uganda Chimpanzee Habituation Experience : This 3 days Uganda chimpanzee habituation experience will take you to Kibale national park where you will get an opportunity to spend quality time with the endangered chimpanzees in their natural habitat and an exciting nature walk in Bigodi sanctuary. Kibale national park is located in western Uganda and apart from chimpanzees it’s a home of other primates including grey cheeked mangabey, red tailed monkeys, black and white colobus monkeys, blue monkeys, olive baboons, vervet monkeys, l’hoest monkeys and variety of bird species.

Day 1: Pick up and transfer to Kibale national park-Bigodi swamp walk
Day 2: Chimpanzee habituation experience in Kibale national park
Day 3: Departure to Kampala
Detailed itinerary
Day 1: Pick up and transfer to Kibale national park, depending on your location on the first day of the safari our driver guide will pick you up from the Entebbe airport or the hotel, brief you about the safari and then start the journey to Kibale national park which is located in western part of Uganda.
The journey takes about 5 to 6 hours drive and on the way you will enjoy spectacular views of the countryside, landscape, farmlands, road side markets among others.
You will have a stopover in Fort Portal for lunch where after you will proceed to Kibale national park for an interesting nature walk in Bigodi swamp. During the nature walk you will be able to spot different bird species, plants, primates like black and white colobus monkeys, l’hoest monkeys, grey cheeked mangabey, olive baboons among others. After the swamp walk you will drive to the lodge for dinner and overnight.
Day 2: Chimpanzee habituation experience in Kibale national park
Chimpanzee habituation, after an early breakfast on the second day of the 3 days Uganda chimpanzee habituation experience you will carry your lunch box and meet up with your driver guide to transfer to the park headquarters for a briefing about the rules, regulations and expectations of chimpanzee habituation. After the briefing you will start trekking in the forest with a team of researcher, trackers, game rangers and park guides. During trekking you will be able to view other primates, bird species, mammals, plant and tree species among others and once the chimpanzees under habituation process are found you will be allowed to spend four hours with them in their environment where you will get a chance to observe their habits, behaviors, watch them feed, hunt, fight, play, rest, breastfeed, groom young ones among others. After the face to face interaction with the chimpanzees under habituation process, you will trek back to the park headquarters where you will meet up with your driver guide to return to the lodge for an evening relaxation, dinner and overnight.
Day 3: Departure to Kampala
After an early breakfast on the last day of the 3 days Uganda chimpanzee habituation experience, you will check out of the lodge and meet up with your driver guide to transfer to Kampala. On the way you will have a stopover at Igongo cultural centre for lunch and then proceed to Kampala arriving early evening. Upon arrival you will be dropped off at Entebbe airport for your departure flight or drop off at any place of your choice.
