This 6 Days Bwindi Gorillas and Queen Elizabeth Wildlife Safaris takes you to shunning safari destination to encounter the most world’s great primates such as Mountain gorillas, chimpanzees as well as wildlife adventure with lion tracking, game drive and boat cruise in Queen Elizabeth National Park. This safari journey starts in Kampala and ends in Kampala.

Detailed itinerary

Day 1: Pick up and Transfer to Bwindi National Park

Depending on your point of location in Kampala , you will be welcomed by our driver guide who will brief you about the safari and then start the journey to Bwindi impenetrable national park which takes about 8 to 9 hours’ drive inclusive a stopover at the quarter in Kayabwe  for memorable photography ,view water experience and visit the craft shops around  .Then proceed a drive to Mbarara with a stopover for lunch Enroute  and after you shall continue to drive through beautiful country side ,rolling hills ,banana plantation among others .Upon arrival in the park you will check into the lodge for dinner and overnight stay at Buhoma Haven Lodge -Midrange

Day 2: Gorilla Trekking Experience

Wake up have early morning breakfast served with donuts with packed lunch boxes. Your driver will pick you and transfers you to the park head quarter for a briefing about the dos and don’ts of gorilla trekking before heading out your incredible experience of gorilla trekking in green beautiful montane rain forest. After a short briefing you will be accompanied by the ranger and you’re free to ask him any question about mountain gorillas. The trek can take 2 to 8 hours depending on the location of gorillas. Once gorillas are found, you will be given one hour to watch them as they play around, feed their younger ones, learn their life style as well as enjoying your packed lunch boxes with memorable picture taking for your future remembrance. After hike back to the park headquarters meet your safari driver –drives you back to the lodge for refreshment and overnight stay at the same lodge.

Day 3: Transfer to Queen Elizabeth National Park Via Ishasha sector

After an early breakfast served at the lodge, then transfer to Queen Elizabeth National Park passing through the Ishasha sector with chances to view the tree climbing Lions on the big fig trees. You will also be able to view other animals like; elephants, buffaloes, hartebeest and various antelopes as well as savanna bird species. After the game drive in Ishasha sector you will have en-route lunch and then continue to park and upon arrival you will check into the lodge for dinner and overnight stay at Elephant hab lodge -Mid range accommodation

Day 4: Lion tracking

After an early breakfast on the fourth day of the 6 days Bwindi Gorillas and Queen Elizabeth, you will meet up with your driver guide to go for Lion tracking experience in Kasenyi plains. Lion tracking is one of the most done activities in the park and during the game drive you will be able to look out for different animals like Lions, Hyenas, Kobs, Leopards, Buffaloes, Elephants, Giraffes, warthogs, antelopes with chances to spot out a number of bird species. After the Lion tracking, you will drive back to the lodge for lunch with an optional to do the afternoon boat cruise on the Kazinga channel. Day 5: Chimpanzee trekking

After you’re an early morning breakfast, you will meet up with your driver guide to transfer to Kyambura gorge ‘’a valley of apes ‘’ for the briefing about the rules and regulation of Chimpanzee trekking. After the briefing you will meet up will a park guide and start trekking in the forest in search of the habituated chimpanzees. The trekking experience can take about 30 minutes to 4 hours depending on where the chimpanzees are located with great views of other primate species like baboons, black and white colobus monkeys, red tailed monkeys and be able to spot colorful bird species like African kingfisher, African fin foot, blue headed bee –eater, falcons many more.

Once the chimps are found you will be allowed to spend one hour with them in their nature habitat, learn more about their habits and behaviors, watch them as they carry out their daily activities like feeding, breastfeeding, playing, hunting, resting, take photos among others. After spending time with the chimpanzees you will trek back to the starting point where you will meet up with your driver guide and transfer back to the lodge for lunch. After lunch you can opt to do crater lakes tour. Dinner and overnight stay at the same lodge.

Day 6:  Departure to Kampala /Entebbe

On the last day of the 6 days Bwindi Gorillas and Queen Elizabeth Wildlife Safari, you will have a relaxed breakfast, check out of the lodge and meet up with your driver guide to start the journey back to Kampala. On the way you will have a stopover in Mbarara town for lunch en route and another stopover at the Equator where you will take photos and buy souvenirs among others items.
