Murchison Falls National Park is located in the Northwestern region of Uganda and covers an area of about 3,893 square kilometer and was established as a national park in 1952. The park is governed by the government body called ‘’UWA’’ Uganda Wildlife Authority.

Generally, Murchison Falls National Park is known as the oldest and largest national park, a home where you can spot the Bigfours’’4’’, leaving out the Rhino that were re-introduced in Ziwa Rhino Sanctuary by 2005. The park is bisected by the famous Victoria Nile ‘’River Nile’’ renown as the longest in the world and within the park it is divided into two parts; the Northern bank and the Southern bank.
