The High Altitude;
First of all, the hiking experience is done at high altitude, so the air will be thinner than you’re used to. This can be tough according to your daily activity, so it’s important to take slow and steady.
The Terrain

How long is the trek to see the Gorilla?
Gorilla trekking experience can take between 1 to 7 hours on average. This depends on the time the gorillas were last seen on previous day. The trekking experience includes right from the start of the trekking point, then research for them, watching the gorillas after they are allocating and returning back to the meeting point of the National Park.
Gorilla trekking can take 30 to 7 hours long, inclusive 1 hour to spend with gorillas.
Gorilla habituation experience is a full day activity inclusive of 4 hours to spend with gorillas as you learn about their behaves, take photography and capturing videos.

If I get tired or Injured during the trek, will I be carried?
In prior booking, it is possible to arrange for porters, to carry you on sedan chairs or use trekking poles in order to achieve in your gorilla trekking experience.
Dry seasons must be considered for those who are concerned about the terrain’s difficulty because the ground might become muddy during the rainy season, dry season usually spans from June to September and December to February.
Am I fit enough for Gorilla trekking?

It is very important to be physically prepared before going on a hike. However, it is a great advice to have the proper equipment as well as being in good shape. Below are some tips on how to prepare yourself for a hike;
Get the right equipment’s; Always make sure you carry proper items considering the season you’re visiting in the park such essential items to carry includes; warm clothes, hiking shoes, long sleeved and shirts, hand gloves, emerging snacks and drinks, bag backpack, hat among others.
Be in good physical shape; Hiking experience can be strenuous so it is important to be in good physical condition before deciding to go for hiking. You can choose to have some basic exercises before accessing the park for the activity.
Know your limits; Don’t risk a hike that is beyond your abilities.
Listen to your body; It is important to rest and drink plenty of fluids if you feel you’re exhausted or tired
Be prepared for emergencies; Always carry a first aid kit. Or make sure you know whom to run to find help.
