This gorilla groups are stipulated in four different sectors such as Buhoma, Ruhija, Rushanga and Nkuringo to hike in one of these sectors, you need to be physically fit in the body. We recommend you to use 4×4 wheel drivers or you can hire small vehicles at affordable fees. Mgahinga Gorilla national park has only one gorilla group /family the Nyakagezi with 9 members.
Accommodations
Gorilla trekking is not only a one-day activity, Bwindi Impenetrable national park and Mgahinga Gorilla national park are long driving journey at least you can spend a night within the park and the type of accommodation facility you choose also involves in the cost of gorilla trekking. Bwindi accommodation facilities ranges from Luxury to Budget at affordable price.
Gorilla trekking is done by the helper; porters are available at the park’s promises whom you can hire at a small fee of USD20 each per trek but depending on the heavy of the luggage to carry. Then the guide is provided for in the price of the permit so there’s no need to hire one.
