Murchison Falls National Park Safaris : Murchison Falls National Park before it was named as Kabalega National Park, located at the end of the Albertine Rift Valley and known as Uganda’s oldest and largest safari park. The park lies 305 kilometers north of Kampala in Masindi district and can be reached by road or flights.

Generally, Murchison Falls National Park was first gazetted as a wildlife reserve in 1926 and is home to over 76 different mammal species and over 451 bird species. Murchison conservation Area is comprised of Bugungu, Karuma wildlife reserves and Murchison Falls National Park. The park is bisected by the Victoria Nile which plunges 45 meter over the remnant valley wall, creating the dramatic falls and the park’s rare attraction and the final event in an 80 kilometers stretch of rapids. The mighty cascade drains the last of the river’s energy, transforming it into a broad, placid stream that runs cross the rift valley floor into Lake Albert. This stretch of river offers one of Uganda’s most impressive wildlife spectacles that can only be experienced through Uganda Safaris /Uganda tours.
