Rubondo Island National Park is famously known to be one of the Tanzanian national parks that are situated along the island in Lake Victoria and this island was administered by the Geita district of the Geita region. Rubondo National Park is being managed by a government agency policy, which is known as the Tanzania National Park Authority which has a major role in protecting all the game parks in the country. In addition, this park was officially established as a national park in 1965 and covers a total surface area of about 456.8 square kilometers.

Rubondo Island National Park is also ranked as the best destination to visit in Tanzania because it boasts large numbers of indigenous wildlife species that tourists exploring within the park can be able to see.
