Rushanga Sector of Bwindi Impenetrable Forest National Park Uganda : Rushaga sector acts as a tourist destination among the four sectors found in Bwindi Impenetrable Forest national park that is Buhoma, Nkuringo, Ruhija and Rushaga sector. Gorilla Habituation Experience ‘’GHX’’

Gorilla habituation experience in Bwindi Impenetrable national park can be conducted only in Rushanga sector. This is the process where mountain gorilla is first put under training to get used to human presence, a process that takes for about 2 to 3 years to be completed. Gorilla habituation experience starts at 8 :00am after briefing, then meet the range guide who will group you in number of 4 individuals accompanied by the team of park rangers, researchers, doctors who will share information about mountain gorilla as you collect their samples in the forest.

How to reach to Rushaga Sector of Bwindi Impenetrable Forest National Park

Air Transport.

Road Transport

Travelers can still access Rushaga sector right from Kigali ‘’Rwanda’ ’which takes 3 to 4 hours’ drive via Cyanika border in Kisoro. Compared traveling from Kampala to Rushaga which takes about 9 to 10 hours’ drive.
