Go Mountain Gorilla Trekking
Gorilla trekking is the major key thing to do on Uganda Safaris. Tourists like getting up close with our closest cousins whom are said to have 98% DNA to human genes. Uganda is gifted with two Gorilla Parks that is Bwindi Impenetrable Forest National Park and Mgahinga Gorilla National Park.
Only a handful of people get to spend time with wild mountain gorillas in their natural environment, currently, there are roughly only 1200 left on the planet. The half remaining mountain gorillas in the wild are found in Uganda’s Bwindi Impenetrable National Park. Bwindi National Park is home to more than 22 habituation gorilla families that are divided into four gorilla trekking sectors; Buhoma, Rushaga, Buhoma and Ruhija.
Gorilla trekking is one of the finest safari activities on African safaris. The activity starts early in a briefing about Gorilla rules. After, a park ranger guide will lead you into a forest trail head in search for gorillas and once they are found, one hour is given to you to spend with gorillas as learn about their behaviors, feeding, play and capturing videos.
Uganda Safari Activities : Visit Endangered Rhinos
In Uganda rhinos can only be tracked in Ziwa Rhino Sanctuary which started in 2005 by the rhino re-introduction project, and project from visitors who go towards the breeding program and their eventual release into the wild. They are freely moving creature which can move around 7,000 ha of land.
However, due to poaching which occurred in 1982 lead to the loss of wild rhino in the country. But the good news, they were later re-introduced in the country. In Uganda, Rhinos cannot be spotted in Uganda’s national parks but can only be spotted in the protected sanctuary.

Canoe on Lake Bunyonyi
Well, Lake Bunyonyi is believed to be the second deepest lake in Africa and some people call it beautiful Switzerland of Africa and home to various little notable birds.
The lake is shunned by lush, terraced hills, and further more a home to over 29 islands of various shapes and sizes scattered across the water that make it most rewardable.
