3 Days Congo Gorilla Safari
The 3 Days Congo Gorilla Safari is a magical short safari tour package that leads you into inhabitants of the rarely endangered lowland gorillas in Congo they can be found in Kahuzi Biega National Park.
Kahuzi Biega National Park is a famously UNESCO World Heritage Centre which is dominated by two splendid extinct Volcanoes, Kahuzi and Biega. It is home to diverse fauna. Majorly, Kahuzi’s main selling tourist attraction are the eastern gorilla, Gorilla Berengeri graueri. This trip starts and ends in Kigali Rwanda.
Detailed Safari Itinerary
Day 1: Travel from Kigali to Bukavu
Travel from Kigali to Bukavu: On day 1 of the 3 days Congo Gorilla Safari, our safari driver guide will pick you up from your hotel in Kigali. The drive from Kigali to Bukavu takes between 7 to 8 hours drive –Bakuva is the nearest town to Kahuzi Biega National Park with en-route lunch. On arriving in Bakavu, check in at your booked hotel, have dinner, and overnight stay.

Day 2: Eastern Lowland Gorilla Trekking- Kahuzi Biega National Park
Gorilla Trekking: Wake up have breakfast at your lodge, remember to pack enough bottled mineral water and energy-giving snacks, and put on rubber hiking shoes, hand gloves as well as warm clothes. Then after, your driver guide will drive you to the park headquarters for a pre-gorilla briefing. After you will meet the park ranger guide accompany you in search of habituated gorillas. The trekking experience can last between 30 minutes to 7 hours depending on their location in the forest.
On finding them, you will be given an hour to observe how gorillas behave, feed, play, and enjoy taking photography as well as capturing videos. After, you will descend back to the lodge for relaxation. Later have dinner and overnight.

Day 3: Boat transfer from Bukavu to Goma
Boat transfer to Goma: After having a delicious breakfast served at the lodge, followed by check out and transfer to port to enjoy your speed boat and sail on Lake Kivu as you drive to the opposite side of the Lake in Goma.
Lake Kivu offers quite a number of attractions ranging from beautiful flora on the shores. Arrive in Goma, where you will be cleared at Grande Barrier border point, and have lunch. Then after, be driven back to Kigali at your booked hotel or Kigali International Airport for your flight departure.
