This 7 Days Uganda Rwanda Primates Safari is an exceptional primitive safari experience that leads you to the world’s top trending visiting destinations such as Volcanoes National Park Rwanda and Uganda’s Bwindi Impenetrable National Park. You will be able to encounter in a double gorilla trekking experience, golden monkey tracking, a cultural tour, mountain hiking along Mount Bisoke as well as Boat cruise on Lake Victoria. This trip starts in Kigali –Rwanda and ends in Entebbe.
Detailed Itinerary
Day 1: Pick up and transfer to Volcanoes National Park
Upon arrival at Kigali International Airport on the first day of the 7 Days Uganda Rwanda Primates Safari, you will be welcomed by our safari driver guide who will brief you about the safari and then go for a short city tour where you will visit Kigali genocide memorial Centre, visit craft markets, Kimironko local market many more. After the city tour, go enjoy lunch and then start the journey to Volcanoes National Park in the northwestern part of Rwanda. The journey takes a few hours to drive to the park with great scenic views on the way. Upon arrival, you will check into the lodge for dinner and overnight stay at Da Vinci Gorilla Lodge (Midrange)/ Amikus Hotel (Budget)

Day 2: Golden monkey trekking and Ibyiwacu cultural tour
After an early relaxed breakfast on the second day of the 7 Days Uganda Rwanda Primates Safari, you will meet up with your skilled safari driver guide to transfer to Kinigi Park headquarters for a briefing. After the briefing, you will head into the forest in search of the golden monkeys and once found you will be given an hour to spend with them in their habitat where you will be able to watch them jumping up in trees, playing, feeding, taking photos and recording videos. After an incredible encounter with the golden monkeys, you will trek back to the park headquarters to meet up with your driver guide and return to the lodge for lunch.
In the afternoon, you will visit the Iby’lwacu cultural village which lies near the park. Get to watch their amazing traditional dance ‘’intore dance troupe’’ and singing performances. Dinner and overnight stay as above.

Day 3: Bisoke (Visoke) Hike – Volcanoes National Park
On day 3 of the 7 Days Uganda Rwanda Primates Safari, you will enjoy breakfast, carry a packed lunch, and head out for the Mount Bisoke hike which is part of Volcano National Park; home to Rwanda range of endangered mountain gorillas. On accessing the summit, you will discover a beautiful crater lake and the whole experience is bit challenging but worth it! Along the trail, you will discover a lot of birdlife and captivating scenery on a land of a thousand hills ‘’Rwanda’’. After the hike, return to the lodge for an evening relaxation, dinner and overnight stay as above.

Day 4: Transfer to Bwindi impenetrable national park
Today, on the fourth day of the safari, you will check out of the lodge and meet up with your driver guide to drive you to Bwindi impenetrable national park which is positioned in southwestern Uganda and home to the world’s population of endangered mountain gorillas. On the way, you will pass via the Katuna border in the Kabale district and upon arrival in Bwindi impenetrable national park. You will check into the lodge for dinner and overnight stay at Bakiga lodge-midrange or Broadbill forest camp budget

Day 5: Gorilla trekking in Bwindi impenetrable national park
You will have an early morning breakfast served at the lodge, with your packed lunch. You will be met by our driver guide and transferred to the park headquarters for the brief set off for your gorilla trekking activity. The gorilla trek can take from 2 to 7 hours –half day till the gorillas are finally located. You will be allowed an hour to spend with these creatures, enjoy picture-taking, and record videos.
After the trek, you will either go for an optional of cultural tour to visit the Batwa people or return to the lodge for an evening relaxation, dinner and overnight stay as above.

Day 6: Transfer to Entebbe
On the sixth day of the safari, enjoy a warm breakfast, check out of the lodge, and meet up with your driver guide to start the journey back to Kampala. On the way, you will have en-route lunch and another stopover at the Equator where you will enjoy unforgettable photography and buying souvenirs from craft shops. Upon arrival in Kampala, you will connect to your hotel for dinner and an overnight stay at Best Western Hotel-midrange or Cycad guest house-budget.

Day 7: Boat cruise on Lake Victoria and transfer to Entebbe airport
On the last day of the safari, you will have an excellent breakfast at leisure and later meet up with your driver guide to drive to Lake Victoria for an impressive boat cruise where you expect to enjoy the beautiful scenery, landscape, and various bird species. After the boat cruise which takes about 1 to 2 hours, return to the lodge for lunch where you will check out and transfer to Entebbe airport for your onward flight depending on your schedule.
