Detailed Itinerary
Day 1: Pick up and Transfer to Nakiwogo landing site
Pick up and Transfer to Ssese Island: on your day one, our skilled driver guide will pick you up from Kampala or Entebbe Airport, brief you about the safari. Then, be transferred to the Nakiwogo landing site in Entebbe early, before 2:00 pm. At exactly 2:00 pm it’s when the ferry leaves. You will sail to the largest island of Bugala and if you arrive earlier in the day at Entebbe Airport, our driver /guide will first take you for a tour around Entebbe botanical gardens or visit ‘’UWE’’ Uganda Wildlife Education Center ‘’Zoo’’. If you arrive late at the Airport, you will begin the journey by sailing to the island by ferry transport, where you will enjoy the beautiful sites of the second largest fresh water lake in the world ‘’Lake Victoria’’. You will be dropped at the Lutoboka bay in Bugala Island. Check in at the hotel, have refreshment and take an awesome walk to admire the beautiful scenery around. You will spend your evening relaxing as you enjoy the white sand beach. Request for camp fire late in the evening. Dinner and overnight at the hotel/lodge.

Day 2: Forest walk, Swimming, fishing at the Ssese Island
Forest walk: After morning breakfast and start your beautiful day by watching the sun rise. Then embark on a guided forest walk within the Bugala Island, accompanied by a trained guide to take you to tour all the important places around the Island while explaining information about the history as well as the cultural significance of each view.
There are local guides knowledgeable enough about the area. You will be led on a forest walk, where you will be able to watch species such as African fish eagle, palm nut vultures, Jewel pygmy kingfisher, hornbills, paradise flycatcher, barbets, grey parrot, Turacos, among others, have primates viewing like monkeys, sightseeing of beautiful butterflies,s among others.
Boat Cruise: After the forest walk, you will head for a boat cruise, where you will visit the fishing land sites and get to learn about their fishing lifestyle. Enjoy taking memorable photos around the site as many as you can. Go for lunch.
Later on, after lunch, you can engage in one of these activities as an optional sunbathing, beach game, swimming among others. Have dinner and overnight.

Day 3: Return to Kampala or Entebbe Airport
Return to Kampala or Airport: Have a delicious breakfast served at the lodge, followed by check out of the lodge. Thereafter will be transferred to the mainland, and after landing, you will be dropped off at Entebbe or Kampala. The ferry leaves Bugala at exactly 8 am and arrives in Entebbe at 11 am. Our safari driver will be at Nakiwogo waiting for you to drive back to Entebbe Airport for your scheduled departure flight back home or at any other advised place.
